The location of the hotel is great, with easy access to motorways and various places of interest. The central heating in the cottage keeps it cozy after a chilly day of sightseeing. Additionally, the cottage is well equipped with all the amenities you could need.
The extraction fans placed outside the bedroom window can be very noisy, making it difficult to sleep.

The location of the cottage was perfect, right next to the tranquil canal and a vibrant pub. We enjoyed watching the boats and ducks while sipping on a beer. The pub itself was welcoming and served excellent food, and the 10% discount was a nice bonus. The cottage was clean and well-maintained, with thoughtful amenities like tea bags, coffee capsules, soap, shampoo. Despite a few drawbacks like small rooms, humidity, and a less effective heating system, the overall experience was great. The check-in process was smooth, although it could have been more detailed. The automatic emailing system for check-out was a bit unnecessary for our short stay. Despite these minor issues, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great location next to a pub on a canal. Quirky and characterful cottage. Friendly staff/locals. Recommended. Good outdoor seating.

The location of the cottage is absolutely stunning, with beautiful walks along the canal towpath and a vibrant pub right next door. the cottage itself is well equipped and comfortable, with exceptional bed linen and towels. the central heating system ensures a cozy atmosphere after a chilly day of sightseeing.
The check-in process is limited to simply handing over the keys, and the automatic emailing system can be a bit impersonal for shorter stays.

Great attention to detail - high-quality tea and coffee provided, as well as toiletries. Umbrellas were available, which came in handy. the location was ideal, with an easy walk into town and beautiful canal strolls. the pub next door served excellent food and offered a discount. the small garden in front of the cottage was a lovely spot to sit outside and watch the canal traffic. the bedrooms were a good size with comfortable beds. Free parking was also a plus.
The surrounding area was not as picturesque as expected, being situated in the middle of a housing/industrial estate. the cottage itself had a few issues, such as an uncomfortable sofa, dirty glasses, and a tired-looking bathroom suite.

We had a fantastic stay at the charming canal side cottage. The location was peaceful and the views of the canal were stunning, providing a wonderful backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The two bedrooms were comfortable and the bathroom was spotlessly clean. We also appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and efficient central heating. The nearby pub served delicious food and the staff were extremely friendly. Despite a minor issue with the heating timer, which was being addressed by the maintenance person, our overall experience was amazing. We are already planning to rebook our stay soon. I highly recommend this lovely cottage for a delightful and cozy vacation.

The location couldn't have been better. Attached to a pub and right on the canal front, with boats, ducks, and beer in abundance. The pub was friendly and the food was excellent. Plus, having a 10% discount on every drink/food purchase was a real bonus. The outside seating area would be great in the summer.
Felt at home instantly, no complaints whatsoever.

What an absolute gem! This tiny, charming cottage was spotlessly clean with lovely bedrooms. Located right next door to a delightful pub, it provided delicious food and great beer. The cottage's small size added to its charm, and its prime location by the Grand Union Canal was perfect for watching the canal traffic. Within a 30-minute walk to the city center, it offered a quiet and peaceful stay. The hosts were excellent and the beds were very comfortable. Free parking was also available.
100% Recommend this hotel.

Best aspects of the stay was the beautiful location right by the canal towpath and the fact that there was a pub right next door. It was so convenient to take lovely walks along the canal and indulge in delicious pub food whenever we wanted. The cottage itself was well-equipped with everything we needed, from comfortable beds and pillows to exceptional bed linen and towels. We also enjoyed the freedom to come and go as we pleased, with friendly pub staff and customers adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere.
Worst aspects of the stay included a leak from the boiler on the first night, which dampened our experience a bit. The stairs to the top bedroom were extremely steep, making it difficult for anyone with mobility issues.
